Are you meditation curious? Or had a taste but want to go deeper? Tried a regular practice but fell off the wagon? I’m offering a 2.5 hour Learn How to Meditate workshop at The Yoga Sanctuary Danforth on Sun April 10 from 9:00-11:30am. Whatever your relationship status to meditation, you will go home with concrete tips and tools to bring more calm, awareness and stability to your mind. No experience necessary – and you don’t even have to sit on the floor.
We’ll figure out what mindfulness is (and is not) and how it can help. You’ll get to try a number of simple meditation techniques you can put into practice immediately. I’ll help you find how you can put meditation into your busy, modern lifestyle. You’ll be able to reap the many benefits that yogis and meditators have experienced for millenia, and science is now backing up – such as lower blood pressure, improved immunity, long term health of the brain, better cognitive functioning and more.
Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes. You may wish to bring a yoga mat if you have one. Preregistration is recommended.
